Graycor Construction Company recently completed two major hotel repositioning projects for Noble Investment Group in Ohio. The hotel projects included the Embassy Suites Hotel, which is one of the Hilton Worldwide brand portfolios, in Beachwood, Ohio and the Courtyard by Marriott in Columbus, Ohio. Noble specializes in making value-added, opportunistic investments in the lodging and hospitality real estate sector. Through its private equity real estate funds, Noble has invested more than $2 billion in upper upscale and upscale hotels located throughout the United States.
The scope of the Embassy Suites project included the renovation of 216 guestrooms, 54,000 square feet of public space and exterior improvements, while the scope for the Courtyard by Marriott project included the renovation of 149 guestrooms and about 15,000 square feet of public space. The hotel renovations took place while the hotel maintained operations and provided uninterrupted service to its guests. As a result Graycor had to rely on its “Live Environment” experience and framework to deliver a seamless and safe construction solution and end result to the hotel, its employees and its guests.
“These were great projects to work on and complete. The live operating environment always makes these type of projects more complex, but we feel our “Live Environment” framework provides us with the experience, structure and ability to successfully manage those complexities,” according to Tom Antoine, Construction Manager for Graycor Construction Company. “It was a great opportunity for us to work with the Noble Investment Group, as they are one of the leading private equity players in lodging and hospitality real estate sector.”
Graycor is proud to add these projects to its extensive list of Living & Lodging work which includes recent projects for Host Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, Ritz-Carlton and Hilton Worldwide.
